Importing References Into RefWorks from Melvyl
Use the Right Arrow at the bottom of this window to move through the tutorial.
This tutorial will show you how to import references from Melvyl, the UC Libraries' online catalogue, into RefWorks, a citation manager.
Other tutorials in this series will show you how to import references from other sources.
Use the active webpage on your right to complete the tutorial.
In order to access RefWorks, log in on the screen to the right.
If you have never used RefWorks before, click here to access the RefWorks 1: Creating a RefWorks Account tutorial.
Now that you are logged in to RefWorks, you are ready to import references from Melvyl.
To access Melvyl:
(Note: if the Cite/Export box is hidden under the tutorial tab, try closing the Cite/Export box and making your font smaller by clicking Command-. Then click on the Cite/Export box again.
This should not be an issue outside the tutorial.)
RefWorks will open a new tab in your browser. If you don't see it, check the original tab where you opened RefWorks.
The Import References box will appear (see below). From there, click on View Last Imported Folder to see the reference you imported into RefWorks.
Congratulations! You have now imported a reference from Melvyl into RefWorks.
If you experienced difficulties or have questions about this process, please contact the Library.
